FSAPP: Training of Gewog Agriculture Officers and M&E Focal on Annual Outcome Survey

A three days training on annual outcome survey is underway in Thimphu for the twenty-four FSAPP Gewog Agriculture Extension Officers and the M&E focals from the Agriculture Research and Development Centres under the Department of Agriculture. The training started on 3rd July 2019 and will end on 5th July 2019.

The opening session of the training was graced by Honourable Director, Department of Agriculture Ms. Kinlay Tshering and Mr. Wangda Dukpa, the Chief Agriculture Officer of Agriculture Research & Extension Division (ARED) of the Department.

The training organized by Project Management Unit is using the technical support of Information & Communication Technology Division (ICTD), Ministry of Agriculture and Forests on the use of kobotoolbox for online data collection. Kobotoolbox is an open-source tool for mobile/tablet data collection.

The five year Food Security and Agriculture Productivity Project (FSAPP) is funded by Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) with World Bank as supervising entity. FSAPP is implemented by the Department of Agriculture.


Call for submission of papers for Bhutanese Journal of Agriculture (VOLUME III ISSUE I)

The Bhutanese Journal of Agriculture (BJA), Department of Agriculture, warmly invites authors to submit research articles to its 3rd Volume, Issue I, scheduled for launch on 5 February 2020, coinciding with the Birth Anniversary of HRH the Gyalsey.

Please submit your manuscripts or articles to bja@moaf.gov.bt  Caption your emails as “BJA: Article Submission” for convenience.  Alternately, you can also visit our newly launched website www.bja.gov.bt where manuscripts can be uploaded.

All manuscript submitted to BJA will be accepted only if they have not been published or are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The final date for paper submission is 30 September 2019.
