Food Self-Sufficiency Assessment

22-26th March, 2021: Food Self-Sufficiency Assessment writeshop for 5 days in Paro to carry out the Food Self-Sufficiency assessment for major agriculture crops. The taskforce members comprises of officials from DoA, PPD and RSD, MoAF. The main objective of the writeshop is to calculate the following parameters for cereals, oilseeds, roots & tubers, pulses, spices, vegetables & fruits and develop a preliminary report on Food Self-Sufficiency assessment:

  1. Food Self-Sufficiency ratio (SSR)
  2. Import Dependency Ratio (IDR)
  3. Per capita consumption
  4. Dietary energy consumption for agriculture crops
